Building Word Chain Master: A Developer's First Mobile Game App Journey

I created Word Chain Master primarily as a hands-on learning project to gain experience in mobile app development. As someone interested in expanding my technical skills, I wanted a practical project that would take me through the entire app development process - from concept to deployment.

Word games offered an ideal starting point: the core mechanics are straightforward enough for a beginner to implement, but they still present interesting UI/UX challenges. Building the word association game required me to learn about React Native components, state management, local storage, performance optimization, and the deployment pipeline.

Every feature became a learning opportunity. Implementing the scoring system taught me about game logic, creating different difficulty levels helped me understand user progression, and adding AdMob integration introduced me to mobile monetization strategies.

The project wasn't without challenges. I faced numerous bugs during development, struggled with cross-device compatibility, and navigated the complex App Store submission process. I still need to put it on the Play Store. Each obstacle pushed me to deepen my technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

While I hope users enjoy the word association challenge, the true success of this project is in the valuable skills and experience I've gained along the way.
