Hope everyone is building well today.
Today I plan on recording, editing, and publishing my first youtube video ever. I am extremely nervous that it will flop, but I have to do it anyways, because that fear will never go away until I do it.
Hopefully I'll come out on the other side with some success that I can share, and I will definitely learn some lessons which I will share. This whole process is so new to me that it feels like I'm jamming tons of learning into each step of the process, which is a great feeling, but also humbling.
So what is the video about? It's about the Loserchick game on Polygon/Matic.
I discovered this game on youtube watching someone playing it, and I tried it out myself a few days later. It is very addictive and fun, and it's actually making me a few dollars a day, which is insane considering I only spent $2 to buy in.
I will break down the whole idea in the video and in a blog post on my site, because it is really interesting and fun to me, and I think we will see an explosion of these kinds of games. It feels like the games of the 80's where things were very crude, but very fun and not so commercialized. Until the major players enter the market (and they move slow), these indie games are going to really dominate.
I just don't know what to expect in terms of views and engagement. I am hoping I can get at least a few hundred views within the first week, just based on the other new videos I'm seeing on the topic. I don't know if that's setting my expectations too high. If I get over a thousand, I'll be pleasantly surprised. If I get less, well.. I'll be unpleasantly surprised.
