Bootstrapped and solo founder, looking for honest feedback on whether this business makes sense rather than being polite about it.
My wife used to have multiple tabs open, comparing South Asian ethnic outfits like lehengas and sarees across Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi brands, with no way to see any of them side by side, and no way to picture how something would actually look on her, especially living abroad with no store to walk into.
That is the problem SASTY was built to solve. It brings Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi brands onto one platform, with a side-by-side comparison and a virtual try-on.
SASTY is also built to make South Asian ethnic fashion brand discovery easier.
The revenue model comes from featured placements rather than a cut of sales, since checkout stays entirely on each brand's own site.
I am a solo founder. The project is bootstrapped. Would genuinely appreciate feedback on this:
Does an aggregator model make sense once you deliberately give up any claim on the transaction
Does virtual try-on come across as gimmicky
What would convince you to come back a second time instead of comparing once and just bookmarking a brand directly
Any obvious reason this fails as a business, even if the tech itself works fine
