Hey Indie Hackers!
The Problem: After years working with data teams, I kept seeing the same pattern - everything was "urgent" but nobody could answer basic questions like "What's the ROI of this dashboard?" or "How many people use this data product?"
What I Built: Data Product Lifecycle Manager - a tool that treats data assets like actual business products with measurable value, lifecycle stages, and retirement strategies.
Tech Stack: 36 hours using the base44 platform and planning to move it later to my own hosted server
React frontend with Tailwind + shadcn/ui
Built-in auth and database through base44
Focus was 100% on solving the business problem, not infrastructure
Key Features:
✅ ROI tracking per data product
✅ Incident management with cost impact analysis
✅ Automated alerts for products needing attention
✅ Team collaboration without Slack chaos
Current Status: MVP is live, solving my problem first. Built it for my Substack community (Cooking Data) but realized this pain is universal.

What I Need From You:
Brutal UX feedback - does the flow make sense?
Product-market fit reality check: Is this a vitamin or a painkiller?
Monetization ideas: Thinking SaaS for data teams, but open to other models
Technical feedback: Any obvious gaps or improvements?
Next Steps: Launching on Product Hunt tomorrow, then deciding whether to go deeper or pivot based on feedback.
Happy to return the favor and review your projects!
What am I missing? 🤔
