I shipped a small web app a few weeks ago and it has made exactly nothing so far. Figured I'd post the real state of it instead of another launch thread.
It's a debt payoff planner. You put in your cards and loans, it shows you avalanche versus snowball side by side, and it tells you what one habit change is actually worth in months saved. That last part is the reason I built it. I got tired of rebuilding the same spreadsheet every time a rate moved or I threw an extra hundred at something.
Traffic is a trickle. Most of it is me posting in two subreddits. No paying users. I don't think the thing is broken, I think nobody knows it exists and I'm weak at everything that happens after the code works.
So two questions for people further along than me. What actually got you your first ten paying users? Not the tidy version, the boring thing that worked. And if you open the page and bounce in ten seconds, tell me why you bounced. I'd rather get it blunt now than keep guessing for another month.
Anyway, it's here if you want to poke at it: https://debt-habit-planner-site-dep.vercel.app/?utm_source=indiehackers&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=debthabitplanner_202608
The “one habit change is actually worth in months saved” part is probably more interesting than the avalanche vs snowball comparison itself. That turns the planner from another calculator into something that can change how someone thinks about their debt. I’d be curious whether that’s what people notice first when they use it.
