Hi everyone,
I'm launching a new FREE utility tool today: a LinkedIn Headline Generator.
I built this specifically to serve a dual purpose: solve a genuine problem for job seekers/creators, and drive early SEO traction for my main product, Contentide. I wanted to build something genuinely useful that targets high-intent, long-tail keywords ("LinkedIn headline generator free," etc.).
The Problem I Noticed
Generic headlines are the norm. People either use a boring title ("Digital Marketing Specialist") or cringe-worthy hype ("Growth Ninja Rockstar").
The generator's goal is to enforce a clear value structure that actually sells to the user. It combines three inputs: Job Title, Industry/Expertise, and a Unique Achievement/Skill/Focus. The logic blends these to create professional, yet engaging, summaries.
The Mini-SaaS Challenge
My biggest challenge was creating an engine that delivers high-quality, professional results without relying on a full-blown, expensive LLM for every query.
I built the generator using Next.js and OpenAI API with a strong prompt to ensure the output is professional and avoids the 'hallucinations' or generic output common with larger models. I specifically wanted a lightweight, high-speed tool.
My Ask to the IH Community
Product Feedback: Please try it out (it's 100% free with no sign-up) and let me know if the output is genuinely useful. Does the generator logic miss any key structural formats?
Strategy Feedback: From an SEO/content perspective, does launching a specific, free utility tool like this seem like a smart strategy to get early top-of-funnel traffic?
