Built a free Project Cost Calculator – curious how other founders price their work?

One of the trickiest things I ran into while freelancing and running small projects was figuring out how to quickly estimate costs.

So, as a weekend build, I put together a simple free Project Cost Calculator that lets you plug in tasks, time, and billing type to get an instant rough estimate. No signups, just a quick way to see numbers.

I originally made it for myself and our small team at Teamcamp to scope projects faster without a spreadsheet. Now I am curious:

How do you price your projects?

Do you stick with flat rates, hourly, value-based pricing?

Any frameworks/tools you swear by?

Here’s the tool if you want to play around: https://www.teamcamp.app/resources/project-cost-calculator

Would love your feedback and also interested in how you approach the “pricing conversation” with clients (always feels like half art, half science!).

also you can explore our Project managment application to get all solution in one roof

Same problem for residential cleaners: gut quotes skip drive and baths. Quote This House is $27 Sheets/Excel: beds/baths/sqft/drive/add-ons + hourly floor + Client Quote page. https://atlashelpscompany.gumroad.com/l/ppdfln
