Built a freelancing app to hire in under 60 seconds — looking for feedback on growth

Hey everyone, 👋

I’m Dinaagaren, a solo founder.

I recently built GiniGigs, a mobile-first freelancing app designed to make hiring fast and simple.

What it does:

  • Hire freelancers in ~60 seconds
  • No proposals — just chat → hire → pay
  • Pre-vetted international freelancers
  • Built for quick, real-time hiring

Current traction:

  • 10,000+ app downloads
  • 60 freelancers onboarded
  • 4.8★ app rating
  • Zero marketing spend so far

Tech stack: Flutter, Node.js, MongoDB

Challenge:
I now have freelancers on the platform, but growing the client side (people posting jobs) is the hard part.

I’d really appreciate feedback from founders or builders here:
What would you focus on next to attract more clients?

Thanks for reading 🙏

This is impressive traction for zero marketing spend. 10k downloads + 4.8 rating as a solo founder is not small.

Your problem now is not growth. It is marketplace balance.

Right now you have supply (freelancers).

    You need demand (clients).

For two-sided marketplaces, I’d focus on:

Narrowing the ICP on the client side.
“Anyone hiring freelancers” is too broad. Pick one segment first — startups, e-commerce sellers, founders building MVPs, etc.

    Create urgency-based positioning.
The “hire in 60 seconds” angle is strong, but who urgently needs that? Probably early-stage founders who hate Upwork proposals.

    Solve one high-frequency use case.
Instead of general freelancing, maybe dominate something like:
    • Quick landing page builds
    • Short-form video editors
    • UI fixes
    • Ad creatives

    Own one category first.

    Build client acquisition loops.
Freelancers invite clients → clients post jobs → freelancers share success stories → loop compounds.

Also, consider publishing “time to hire” case studies. If you can prove someone hired in 60 seconds and shipped work in 24 hours, that’s powerful.

If you want to go deeper into positioning + demand strategy, happy to chat. This is an interesting build.

Thank you so much — that means a lot 🙏

You’re absolutely right. We’ve focused heavily on building strong freelancer supply, and now the real challenge is driving consistent client demand and balancing the marketplace.
I love the idea of narrowing the ICP and owning one high-frequency use case first instead of trying to be broad. The urgency angle for early-stage founders specially makes sense.
Also agree on client acquisition loops and publishing “time to hire” case studies, that’s something we should prioritize.

Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback. I’d definitely love to go deeper into positioning + demand strategy.
