This is awseome. What no-code tech stack did you use?

    1. 3

Thank you @sebh1234🙏 For the website we are using softr.io, Airtable for the DB and forms, few pages are on Notion.

This is interesting! As an ex-founder who has been in the job market before, I definitely see a market for such a platform.

@sabinr very cool idea - I love the story section on the launch page - I also love the naval tweet. It resonates with me as a failed SaaS founder with venture backing. I almost wish it were more prevalent on the page rather than it being somewhat hidden in the nav! Maybe think about adding below the get hired section on the landing page? It's powerful!

We kept it hidden so we can find awesome people like you 😉Thanks for the kind words @JohnatProxii💙 And yes, it does make a lot of sense to put it on the homepage. We will try that.

hahaha well, I feel honored 😊 I've got a cal reminder to upvote tomorrow! Good luck, get some sleep, no sleep on PH launch day 😉!

Great one for all ex-founders !!!!

Thank you, Surender. Glad you like it 🙌

Sometimes companies afraid to hire independent minds who has smelled the air of freedom. What do you think about it?

    1. 2

This is so valid and I agree. We don't want to put these sorts of companies in front of our founders and we will are already being open about it to the companies as soon as they signup. Not every company can hire from Founders.careers.

    2. 2

I see your point, Artur. We've been talking to companies the last few days. One thing is evident that companies appreciate the founder mindset and what the founders could bring to the table as a self-starter. Having built & led a startup, these founders have the emotional maturity to balance between being autonomous and collaborating with the teams.

      1. 2

Definitely agree. Moreover sometimes people with a startup experience make a decent career in a corporate ladder. Due to the skills above.

At the same time it's harder to manage those people. It depends on a role your clients hire though.

I see on LinkedIn ex-CEO struggle to find an appropriate position on the market. Maybe it's ageism or high requirements expectation. (I'm from Europe)

        Thanks!

        1. 2

Yes. That's why we're building this to bridge the gap. :)

  6. 2

Interesting concept! Have you spoken to many founders that have experienced such a problem? Does it have scale?

    1. 3

Thank you. Yes. Founders in two geographies largely seem to accept the problem. Jobs listed online by companies are not suited for ex-founders. And founders coming out of a non-successful exit and wanting to do something less tedious than running a company are usually confined to jobs within their network. We don't see this to be a VC fundable business but, they are potential customers though :)

      1. 1

Very cool! Out of interest. How do you source the jobs, if existent opportunities do not suit ex-founders? Are you targeting successful ex-founders or unsuccessful ones?

        1. 1

Thank you for asking this :) Doing it the hardest way. Reaching out to founders (typically venture-funded) and asking them if they have roles that are suitable or can be tweaked for founders :) On the other hand, since we went live, we have 12 inbound enquiries from companies (1unicorn, 2 SeriesB+) with an interest in hiring founders. Any other ideas?

  7. 2

hey Sabin, have you launched yet? the website is not very appealing and doesn't tell me much...

    1. 2

Hey Steve, yes. We are live now. Thanks much for the feedback. Right now it is a pre-launch site accepting early customers so we are keeping it simple.

      1. 1

I will reserve my opinion on the appeal of hiring ex-founders (those people dont like to be employees almost by definition), but anyway, the big problem I see right now with the site is that all the links send you to a different dominion ( I suppose related) so it looks simply like a sketchy fronting

        1. 2

@vitukov Agreed. A large part of the founder community might not be the target. But hey, 9 in 10 startups fail at a VC scale and a few in that decide to take a break before starting up again, a few might not even want to start up. We want to find these passionate ones that took the leap.
Yes, the links go to Airtable and Notion, just so that we have the flexibility to iterate faster. Will be moving them within the site once we collect some more user feedback. Thank you so much for your efforts mate, Appreciate it. 🙏
