Built AI Features for Startups Without a Big Team — Here's the Playbook

Over the last year and a half, we’ve been working closely with early-stage startups to build AI features that actually ship—without needing an in-house AI team or millions in funding.

We’re talking real-world things like:

Chatbots that replace clunky forms

Voice assistants for guest support

Smart tagging to reduce support load

Feedback tools that auto-summarize user thoughts

Most of these teams had small budgets and tight deadlines. None had deep AI expertise. And that’s where we saw the real gap—everyone wants AI, but most don’t know how to start small and make it useful from day one.

So we built a framework we now use on every AI project:

Start with a pain point (not a model)

Use your existing data—don’t wait for perfection

Plug in off-the-shelf models (GPT, HuggingFace, etc.)

Build a tiny version that works in the real world

Improve based on what people actually use
