Built an AI layer on top of Gmail — looking for early users
I’ve been building CleanBox — a layer on top of Gmail that helps you spend less time on email.
It cleans noise, summarizes emails, and helps you reply faster.
I recently added an AI assistant (Clara) that looks at your inbox and suggests actions like:
‘You have X newsletters — want me to clean them?’
Still early, but working. I’m looking for a few people to try it and tell me honestly:

This is interesting — tools like this live or die on how clearly actions are understood inside an already complex interface like Gmail.
How are you currently handling user feedback when actions are triggered or completed? That usually makes a big difference in usability.
“Totally agree — feedback is critical, especially on top of something like Gmail. Right now I’m focusing on making actions very clear and immediate:
Clara confirms what she’s about to do
Then shows visible changes in the inbox (not just messages)
After completion, there’s a simple confirmation like ‘Done’
I’m also working on reducing back-and-forth — less asking, more acting — so users don’t feel like they’re configuring things. Still early, but the goal is: action → visible result → clear confirmation.”
