Built an android app that generated 200$ in around 4 months

Hi everyone,

Last september I started building an android app in my spare time that allowed users to change their default volume panel on their phone with new skins available in my app.

After launching in february, it gained some traction and getting around 200 downloads a day, but also getting plenty of uninstalls (probably because it requires an accessibility service and people get deterred).

So far it has generated around 200$ in roughly 4 months, so most people are not buying anything.

Any tips on how should I improve user retention and encourage them to purchase items?

Here is the app, if you are interested to have a look.

Thanks,

That accessibility-service hesitation is exactly the trust problem I’m seeing with Kinetic Override too. For Android utilities that control the screen, the product page has to explain the permission in plain language: no root, local profiles, no account/no ads, and what the first recorded loop actually does.
