Built and launched my first AI-powered portfolio builder as a first-year student after weeks of learning, debugging, deployment failures, redesigning workflows, and building everything completely from scratch 😄
Coming from a middle-class Indian family with limited resources, I wanted to challenge myself to stop just consuming tutorials and finally build something real that people could actually use.
What started as a small portfolio idea slowly became a complete full-stack product with:
• Real-time live preview
• Premium responsive portfolio templates
• HTML/PDF export support
• Modern UI/UX
• AI-assisted workflow systems
• Full-stack architecture
• Deployment-ready setup
One thing I wanted to solve differently was flexibility and experience. Most portfolio builders either feel outdated, too restrictive, or visually generic. I wanted Folio Builder to feel modern, customizable, responsive, and creator-focused while still being developer-friendly under the hood.
This project taught me far more than just coding. I had to learn frontend systems, backend workflows, deployment pipelines, product packaging, marketplaces, UI/UX decisions, debugging, optimization, and how difficult it actually is to turn an idea into a deployable product completely on your own.
This is also one of the first major projects from the Aether ecosystem I’m building around AI-powered systems, developer tools, productivity workflows, creator platforms, and fitness operating systems.
Still learning every single day, but shipping this project honestly changed my confidence as a builder a lot 😄
Respect for shipping a first full-stack product. The "felt outdated, too restrictive, or generic" framing for existing builders is fair, especially for devs who care about how their site reads.
Two things worth nailing for that audience: custom domain on free tier or it stays a hosted preview, and clarity on what the "AI-assisted workflow" actually does. Is the AI writing bio copy, suggesting layout, or organizing the project order? Picking the one thing it does best beats listing it as a feature.
Hey friend I'm very sorry for the late reply , but truly grateful for you to taking your time and viewing my project and dropping your feedback and wanted to ask something if you don't mind
