Built and launched my first app solo: Here’s why I made LetsFancy Keeps

Hey Indie Hackers! I built a new app — LetsFancy Keeps — to solve something that started small, but felt surprisingly universal:
We lose track of the things we care about.

🤔 Problem

It started with my son’s toys — and how quickly they multiplied.
New ones kept coming in, but we had no idea how many we already had, where they were stored, or what they were really worth.

Some toys he loved and played with every day. Others? Tried once, then disappeared into a drawer.
They ended up scattered everywhere — under the bed, in boxes, on shelves, or just lying around.

We forgot what we had, used, or valued. Bought duplicates. Couldn’t agree on what to keep or let go.
No one had the full picture — not him, not me.

But it wasn’t just toys. It could be books, sneakers, vinyl, collectibles — anything we love.
I wanted a minimalist, emotional way to organize and rediscover what actually matters.

🛠️ Solution

So I built LetsFancy Keeps — a simple, personal, visual tool for mindful ownership.
Not inventory. Not clutter. Just clarity.

With Keeps, you can:

  • View a clean dashboard of your favorite things

  • Log items by category, tags, location, value, date

  • Rate with Fancy Scores after each use

  • Let Smart Rankings surface your true favorites

  • Sync across iOS & Android — phone and tablet

  • Enjoy a minimalist, ad-free experience

This is my first-ever app. What began as a small fix became a bigger philosophy:
Own less. Enjoy more. Remember what matters.

Would love to hear what you collect — and how you’d use Keeps! 🙌
