Built ChatFAI (700K+ users) : Our Journey from a Goku Fan Page to a AI Chat Experience

I'm excited to share our journey of creating ChatFAI. It all started in January 2023 with a simple idea sparked from a Goku fan page on Facebook. We noticed fans wanted to interact with Goku, and that's where our journey began.

Using AI, we made it possible for fans to chat with Goku, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. This success inspired us to think bigger – why not bring other characters to life?

ChatFAI became our passion project. Built by a team of four co-founders, it evolved into an AI-powered platform that lets you chat with characters from various movies, TV shows, books, and historical figures. Our focus was on creating conversations that feel alive, ensuring privacy, and expanding accessibility, including making ChatFAI available as a Discord bot.

In just 10 months, we've grown to 700K+ users, all through organic growth and without spending a dime on marketing. We've remained 100% bootstrapped, a testament to our commitment and the support of our users.

We offer three subscription plans – Basic, Premium, and Deluxe – catering to different user needs, along with message credits for Discord bot and API usage.

This journey has been a dream come true for us, and we're thrilled to see ChatFAI becoming a part of so many people's lives. Here's to more conversations and bringing your favorite characters to life!
