Calling all builders!

Building digital products provides the builder nothing short of a great experience and for some of us, life changing money. We hide behind a monitor and project great ambitions, wisdom and insight. We gain that insight from punching above our weight and after occasionally getting smashed back down to earth, we learn how to dust off and get back on the horse called dreams. The builder community is vibrant, full of energy and behind the digital personas is where the fun is lurking.

We're bigger than one person and we're not flying on luck with an empty gas tank. That's what we project to would-be buyers of our creations and for many other builders, the fear of failing is a contraceptive against success. Survivor bias ensures that the success stories are known, with the humans and the real stories are ever buried under the weight of operating a digital persona. As builders, we write code, file tax returns, make sales, do marketing and dodge bullets.

I've launched Built.fm, a weekly free podcast with the goal of exposing great stories and giving real glimpses into the world of building dreams for other builders. If you want to share your stories and pitch your digital product, introduce yourself and your baby: [email protected]. The show is recorded and edited, so don't worry about erms, ahms and other sins.

I love uncovering stories and think a world with great tales, feels lighter, brighter and provides all of us energy top-ups when we need them the most.

The podcast will go out on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Substack, along with a newsletter style post with background, show notes and your information.

What's different? It's by the builder, for the builder and made for humans. Yes, it's new, yes it's fresh and yes, we'll have lots of fun!
