Built my first serious product: AI Nexus, a showcase network for AI creators
Hey Indie Hackers,
I’ve been building a project called AI Nexus.
It started from a simple observation: AI creators are producing films, images, music, prompts, tools, automations, and experimental work, but most of it is scattered across Reddit, X, Instagram, Discord, personal links, and freelance platforms.
That works for short-term visibility, but not always for building a long-term creator identity.
So I built AI Nexus as a creator-first platform for AI-made work — part showcase, part creator profile, part discovery network, and eventually a marketplace layer for commissions, paid releases, subscriptions, and studio services.
The goal is not to replace social platforms. The goal is to give AI-native creators a more permanent and professional place to publish their work, build recognition, and be discovered through the quality of their portfolio.
The product is still early, but the core foundation is live:

I’m currently trying to validate two things:
Would AI creators actually want a dedicated home for their work?
Would clients/brands prefer discovering AI creators through portfolios instead of random social posts or freelance listings?
I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from other builders here.

One thing I'd be curious about:
How do you think about the line between complementing a creator's existing identity and becoming the place where that identity actually lives?
Reading this, it feels like those can start out looking very similar while pulling the product in very different directions over time.
That’s a really good point.
I don’t want AI Nexus to replace a creator’s identity elsewhere, at least not by force. The idea is to give their work a cleaner, more permanent place where people can understand their style, tools, direction, and body of work.
If creators find value in that, then over time it can naturally become part of their identity too — not instead of social platforms, but as a stronger home for the work behind the posts.
That's the part I'd probably find hardest to evaluate from the outside.
The language in your reply points to a few different ideas about what role the product eventually plays in a creator's life, and they don't all seem equivalent.
I've got a few thoughts on that, but it's probably more than I'd try to unpack properly in a thread.

Agreed, they cannot be at the equivalent. Neither I wish for them to be of similar contexts or the site will render useless. As the site is still in it's infacy stage so that leaves alot to imagination and adaption by the side of the creators so I believe it's still to early to talk on that aspect.
