I’ve been working on a product called Smart Invoice Manager, a modern invoicing and billing platform built with Laravel and Vue. The idea was simple: create a practical system that small businesses, agencies, and freelancers could actually use for day-to-day billing without needing to build everything from scratch.
The product includes customers, products, quotations, proformas, invoices, recurring billing, payment links, reports, audit logs, multi-workspace support, and a customer portal. I wanted it to feel like more than just an invoice CRUD app, so a big part of the work went into making the workflows practical and production-ready.
A lot of the effort was in the details: document flows, numbering, workspace isolation, customer access, recurring invoice handling, and setup/documentation so buyers can get started quickly. I’ve also been cleaning up the installation flow to make it easier for non-technical buyers by providing SQL-based setup and clearer docs.
This took around 2 months of focused work, and I’m now preparing it for sale as a commercial script. I know the market is competitive, so I’m trying to position it as a serious, ready-to-use billing product rather than just another admin template with invoice screens.
Would love feedback on the positioning, pricing, and whether the feature set feels strong enough for indie founders, agencies, or code buyers looking for a ready-made invoicing system.
