Built something in a Replit buildathon → 45 users in 3 weeks

Hey everyone,

I joined a Replit buildathon a few weeks ago and decided to build around a problem I kept hitting after launching projects:

figuring out where to promote them.

There’s a lot of advice out there, but most of it is vague: “post on Reddit” “be active on Twitter” “try LinkedIn”

So you end up doing a bit of everything without knowing what actually works.

I built Tractionly to make that simpler.

The idea is straightforward: → turn your product into a 1-week distribution plan

→ execute

→ track results

→ figure out what actually brings users

It’s still early, but around 45 founders have already used it in ~3 weeks.

What surprised me most isn’t the number, but how consistent the problem is. Almost everyone struggles more with distribution than with building.

Right now I’m simplifying the product a lot to focus on:

fewer platforms

clearer weekly plans

tracking what actually works

Curious how you all approached this early on:

How did you figure out your first real acquisition channel?

Most founders find themselves trapped in a cycle of "random acts of marketing" because vague advice like "be active on social media" doesn't provide a clear roadmap for actual growth. It is incredibly demotivating to spend hours crafting posts across multiple platforms only to realize you have no idea which one—if any—is actually moving the needle for your product. Since you are narrowing your focus to fewer platforms and clearer weekly plans, how do you help a founder identify which specific acquisition channel they should test first based on their particular niche?
