Last year I lost too much money and time chasing fake jobs and working with clients who disappeared after weeks.
Out of frustration, I built two small MVPs:
- IsThisJobLegit – paste a job ad and it flags scam patterns
- ClientFlagger – check a client’s reputation (and add your own experience)
They’re live and people use them, but I’m hitting a wall. Building was the easy part, getting traction is way harder.
Right now:
- A few freelancers testing
- 0 real growth engine
- Struggling with visibility outside small communities
I’m curious: for those of you who launched small niche tools, what worked better for early traction — consistent content, partnerships, or cold outreach?
Would love to hear how you approached the “no audience, no budget” stage.
