What is the biggest problem with modern day website brokerage sites like Flippa, Latonas etc?
What would you do differently if you owned one of these sites?
Since I'm working on an new services in this space, for me the biggest issue is quality.
From both sides...
As a buyer I see a lot of made to sell things listed. ie something built with a stock theme/cms and listed just to sell.
From the seller side, I see lots of "buyers" who aren't really serious about buying with a reasonable offer.
So I suppose quality over quantity on both sides of the marketplace.
I love your username! :)
We don't have a problem with quality on both sides so this is good. But, thanks for pointing that out.
What are your thoughts on business models for these types of companies? Any ideas approaches to creating revenue? I thought about a subscription fee where people post sites and handle the transactions themselves. This could include a concierge tier with a commission involved.
I think they charge for posting your domain/site, which I think should be free.
How would you suggest they make money then?
Without even knowing if it is really worth they are expecting to pay for it.
