Buying ad spots in other newsletters to promote your newsletter?
So for the last while, I’ve been experimenting with different ways to grow my newsletter. I haven’t thought about using paid channels, but I guess it could be an option.
I wanted to know what have been your experiences with using ad spaces in other larger newsletters to promote your own newsletter? Where they successful and did it meet your expectations, as this is something that I definitely want to try in the future?
It seems everyone is creating newsletters on IH. Is that the new latest and greatest product?
I never tried. I'm always using the lean approach and leverage my own social media for my newsletter growth :) @TheWonderingZall

I recently tried a small ad in Scott’s Cheap Flights (big list) and it did ok. Not entirely aligned with my target audience and my project was struggling to get traction anyway.
For Startup Resources I did a classified in “For The Interested” last week. New subs in the region of $2. Not stellar but acceptable. I got more subs when I got a mention in the newsletter the following week. 😁

I took a look at Dense Discovery, but I see they are fully booked till the end of September, but I’m currently making my own database for my own convenience, so will shop around.

Got some signups for my Google Sheets newsletter when I advertised the product in Dense Discovery. The intent was to sell memberships and ended up getting more subscribers.
Oh really! I was actually looking at their ad spaces yesterday, it seems they they are fully booked until the end of September.
How many new subs did you get if I may ask?
13 new subscribers. someone else got 600. I didn't directly link to my newsletter. I linked to my site and got a sale. so the ad was profitable.
