Buying art directly from artists, #1 on Hacker News today!

Link: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22824618

We just "graduated" from Y Combinator's W20 batch! And today, we're on the front page of HN. It's a big moment for us :)

The YC experience was incredibly intense and super positive - and totally reshaped our company and us as individuals.

I also want to shout out the Indie Hackers community. I feel like we may have lost our IH-cred by going through YC, but the lessons we learned here and from the IH podcast were nothing short of formative for us. Really appreciate all of you: the advice, the landing page teardowns, the criticism, and the support.

I am very happy for you, I hope that I will have the opportunity to fulfill my dream too

This is amazing! I'm also an artist-turned-programmer, graduated with a Bachelors in Visual Arts with a concentration in Computer Science and I after 4 years working in web dev I miss painting tremendously. Been fantasizing about having my own art studio nonstop especially since this quarantine started. The gatekeeping in the art community puts the programming community to shame and I love that you created a platform to eliminate the gatekeepers. It's funny because I have been thinking for months about what kind of product I could make that could combine my artistic and technical passions, and this is exactly the type of thing that is down my alley. Awesome job!

Hi John, that's a great project! I tried browsing the collection but it seems the filters don't do anything. No matter what I select I always get the same results.
