I run byte7, an IT & tech job board connecting employers, recruiters, and IT professionals across the UK and internationally.
The goal with Byte7 is to make tech hiring more accessible and less expensive, especially for smaller companies and agencies. Companies and organisations can post jobs for free for roles under £25K per year, and recruiters can also access additional free posting packages.
Running a two-sided marketplace has been an interesting challenge — balancing visibility for jobseekers with value for employers, while keeping costs and friction low.
I’d really appreciate feedback from this community:
What makes a job board worth coming back to?
What features genuinely help employers or candidates?
What early growth channels have worked for you?
Happy to answer questions or share lessons learned if useful.
Thanks!
