Calling all twitter *and* productivity junkies
Hey productivity people.
I'm investigating a use case. Considering all the tools available nowadays for managing goals/tasks, do you ever post those on twitter for more "social pressure" and accountability? Would you consider posting them on twitter?
If not, why? If yes, does it help you to be more concise and deliberate? Do you even consider twitter to be "public" space in this case?

Yes. One in particular said something like 'when you going to finish' and it helped me get it done.

This is a very interesting use case.
I'd imagine it would fall under a broader use case like Twitter growth hacking (I'm the founder of one such app).
I'm guessing it would work if you already have a captive audience, but most people are starting from scratch or near-scratch, and that would be their main obstacle to getting value from a Twitter accountability app.
Otherwise they'll be shouting into a void, and instead of a dose of accountability they get two helpings of demoralization.
Also there already exists many groups on hustle Twitter where they create private chat groups to not only keep each other accountable in their goals but also support each other by retweeting and cross-promoting and giving each other testimonials, etc.
I actually think if you can improve upon that (advanced Twitter chat groups), there's definitely money there.

Thanks for this. Even though that's not exactly what I have in mind, it does help a lot with an understanding of the environment here.
So, based on that. Do you have any specific knowledge of those groups that I could check out? Also, if this is a follow-follow concept (which unsurprisingly enough, works here on IH as well), what do you think a problem with it? What can be improved and where the money is from? Just from the membership in the group, or is there anything else?

Matter of fact I did a couple of weeks ago, I tweeted that I want to start writing a book.
And today I lunched the pre-sale page on gumroad and made my first 2 sales!
