Most people don't quit calorie tracking because they stop caring about their goal. They quit because logging is a chore: search the database, pick the right entry out of twelve near-duplicates, guess the portion, repeat three times a day.
So we built TrackyMeals around an interaction everyone already does dozens of times a day: sending a message. Text what you ate — or send a photo or a voice note — and the AI parses the meal and portions in about 5 seconds. No database spelunking.
Two decisions we're committed to:
1. Logging stays free forever. The habit is the product; paywalling it kills it.
2. The coach adapts your weekly calorie goal from your real progress, not a static day-one formula.
We're a small bootstrapped team from Germany and this grew out of our own frustration with existing trackers.
If you've tried calorie tracking and dropped it: what made you stop — the logging effort, or something else?
