Brutal honesty: the page feels too generic for a category where people already have strong opinions.

If I land here, my first question is "why this instead of CalAI, MyFitnessPal, or Lose It?" and the answer needs to be obvious in the first screen.

We ran into the same thing while building MetricSync, and the message that got the best response was being very direct about the differences: cheaper than CalAI, more features, better accuracy, and a 3 day free trial. Once that was clear, people understood why they should keep reading.

    So my main suggestion is:

    1. Put your strongest comparison point above the fold
    2. Show one concrete proof of accuracy or speed
    3. Make the trial or pricing visible immediately

Right now it looks like another AI calorie app. It needs a sharper reason to exist.

Local Python scripts have a structural advantage in the current market: they're immune to the SaaS subscription backlash. No recurring costs, no vendor risk, no data concerns.

The positioning challenge is that 'script' sounds less polished than 'platform.' Worth double-down on the positioning: 'the tool you own, not the subscription you rent.'

Just checked out Caloist! really solid work 👏. The idea of snap, search, or describe your food is instantly clear, and I think that’s your strongest hook.

A few thoughts that might help:

Headline: Right now it tells me what the app does, but not why it matters. Maybe pair the feature with the outcome: “Track your meals in seconds and finally stay on top of your nutrition.”

Features: You’ve got cool differentiators (snap a photo, barcode scan, reminders), but they read a bit like a checklist. If you frame them as benefits, it’ll connect more emotionally — e.g., instead of “Smart Reminders,” try “Gentle nudges so you don’t fall off track.”

Testimonials: Love that you’ve got a mix of users. Some are casual (“bro this app is fire”), which adds personality, but if you highlight the professional ones (like the nutritionist) up front, it might boost credibility for new visitors.

CTA: I’d make the download/try-now button really bold above the fold. Right now I had to scroll a bit before I felt a clear “next step.”

Overall: you’ve nailed the functionality clarity, which is where many landing pages fail. With a little polish around benefits, proof, and a strong CTA, you’ll have something that really pulls people in.
