This is a tough one. I’ve seen well funded startups fail at this vision because they’re not competing with Amazon Kindle, they’re competing with libraries, who already offer free books (including ebooks).
Your biggest issue won’t be with subscribers, but with licensing deals. Defining how much publishers get paid per “read” is a tough one, because people will jump in and out of books frequently.
I’d say, unless you have a secret advantage with publisher connections and you’ve validated their appetite to provide this sort of content at a rate that makes sense for reader behavior, then this one might be a tough go as an IHer.

I usually watch book summaries on YT just to check out if book is worth buying or to refresh some ideas from book I've read before.
Personaly I wouldn't pay for such service since I can find summaries on YT for free.
Blinkist would be your competition as well. Also check out www.bookcademy.com
Perhaps creating such book quizes in different niche will be a good idea.

Nope, I'm not animating the book myself. I thought of having a skillshare business model.
To be true I'm too skeptical about copyright issues. As of now, I don't have any books animated. Do you have any suggestions?
[1] Figure out if there are any small publishers/authors you could work with to get around copyright issues for now.
[2] Find out how much it actually costs to have a book animated. Make some job postings, find someone to animate a single book for you.
[3] Pick a niche market to target that would make sense for your service, that is easily accessible to you. Interact with that niche market to see if this is something they are interested in.
i.e. this might work for kids books -- but do parents want their kids to have more screen time? What are the benefits? Would someone pay for an individual animated book? Why or why not?
For this reason, I think having some examples of animated books that you can sell is that best method to test a market. Know the market, know the benefits you are trying to provide, but don't rely too much on survey feedback unless you are selling the real thing.

Start with one, and see how it goes.
I.e. if you are targeting kids books -- then I would reach out to some people who are writing the types of books you would want to animate. i.e. Chris Ferrie writes books for kids that would be perfect imo: https://csferrie.com/books/
This would be an ideal partner to start. But maybe you need to have an example for him to work with you -- so it might be necessary to start smaller. But you won't know till you try! Good luck :)

Not animated but I would be hesitant to compete against them and Amazon/Audible.

If you can pull it off, with a big-enough library of books, sure. I'm not sure this is a problem that an indie hacker is well-poised to tackle.

In Poland we have e-book and audiobook subscriptions, you can read or listen as many books as you wish. Its good idea but copyrights are problematic.
I was also skeptical about copyrights.
