Can anyone recommend some good internet marketing books?
Check out Traction by @justinmares. Great book, super practical, and will give you the high-level overview you need.
Anything online by Julian Shapiro, Brian Balfour, Casey Winters, or Andrew Chen is worth a read. They've blogged lots.
I'm currently enjoying This is Marketing by Seth Godin. Some eye-opening insights that will likely correct some vital misconceptions you have.
I should add that the hard part of marketing, often, is just doing it. Plenty of people read books but do nothing. So I would prioritize following whatever advice you read that makes it easier for you to take action, and de-prioritize whatever advice makes things scarier, harder, or more complex, even if it seems accurate.
DOTCOM secrets
Geoffrey,
I actually wrote a post (https://doopoll.co/blog/resources-for-growth-marketing-2020) with the list of resources we used last year when we were thinking about growth a lot for the first time.
There’s books with highlights in here as well as some suggestions for podcasts and blogs.
