Can I get rich by copying multiple SAAS applications?

I don't want to take a high risk by making a completely new saas app.

Can I just copy every functionality, UI, etc and provide them with a better cost?

I want to make many Shopify apps like at least 6 and then release them at a better cost... Is this a good strategy to go for?

      This is the greatest

Yes, but you probably won't find success if you focus on the cost. Germany's most famous startup incubator, Rocket Internet, is specialized in copycats and it works damn well for them.
You should look at what they've done and how they did it to have insights on this kind of business model.

You won't find success by just copying. You have to have some experience and connection to the product you are making. You need to also have your own vision. Otherwise you are always playing catch up.

I'm genuinely angry reading a post like this. It's quite sad that this a mentality people have.

    RocketInternet did just that.

Also cheap will acquire your first set of customers but good customer service will keep them forever, so its beyond just app ideas

I don't think it's a good idea for following reasons:

    1. For all the reasons people mentioned before.
    2. You'll find that you'll start losing motivation before you even reach your end goal if the "only" driving factor is making money. You need to be passionate about what you're working on. I personally prefer working on products which scratches my own itch, that keeps me going.

    Good luck!

I think an existing SaaS can be a starting point for proving there is a market, but do your own research. Just blind copying probably wont work because what you can't see is their overall strategy to get to where they are, just the veneer of the landing page and product features.

maybe you can, you need to be much stronger with product differentiation and marketing and why users would switch to new platform rather than an established one.

This is great. Until someone comes up with six minute abs.

But in all seriousness competing on price is always a loosing battle. You really need to find a unique angle to solve a problem.

Oh my god 😂😂😂, I love that guy already.
But seriously, copying is not bad thing but a little bit of efforts is always better. By copying simply do it better and you’ll have a brand new saas

    Hello 👋,

This is Ali. I love your username. I love Pizza. I think " copying multiple SAAS apps " not a very great idea if you copied EXACTLY!

But if you improved those ideas according to the market. I believe this will be more helpful to your business.

You can try reselling an existing saas app (you need to market it and provide support) that allows whitelabelling. If it works then build a clone application to increase profits.

Big no, unless you don't have good idea to improve that product. I am not saying its bad to pick up any idea from working market, but its bad if you don't any unique value to that IDEA so in SHORT
Choose idea be in love with that and think(atleast 7 days) about it whether you can add more value to that product or not and if you can go for it.
    Maybe it will work.

Sit down and Come up with your own ideas instead of copying. Otherwise you dont deserve it anyway

If the product already exists, I think you're in trouble unless you have a unique distribution strategy/pre-existing audience.

Creating great products is 25% of the work, getting them into the hands of people who value them is the tougher 75%

I don't see what producing these apps in parallel gets you. Make one app and see if it makes money and then you can make more based on that.
