Can I make your life better, for free?

My wife says that I am really good at taking problems that consume a lot of time, and finding ways to use technology to speed them up. Are there any aspects of your life that take forever, and could potentially be fixed with cutting edge tech?

List any of your daily problems, at home or at work, which you would like to happen more efficiently, or not to happen at all, and I'll try to find a technology solution for it.

Its kind of meta but help me figure out within myself profitable business ideas that I'd be motivated to solve. I also have an on going rash lol

    1. 2

As per the idea, I know a lot of people start with money, and then look for ways to stay motivated. I cannot work that way, personally. Instead, start with something you'd want to see exist in the world, and then figure out how to make money in it. It's probably a lot harder than starting with money, but at least you won't have to worry about motivation!

On going rash is easy: wear protection, get some penicillin, see a doctor if it doesn't get better. But for real though, I've had a rash all my life, and turns out it's because I am allergic to a bunch of stuff that I used to eat daily. Consider making an appointment with a dermatologist for a skin test. A lot of people are allergic and just don't know about it.

Yeah thanks I've already seen 2 dermatologists at this point. I never considered I may be allergic to something.

Thank you for the idea advice.

Yeah, unfortunately it seems a choice of doctor can make a huge difference. I had seen 2 dermatologists too before, both of whom said "here, take this pill for 3 days, it will go away." Only when I saw a naturopathic doctor did she recommend looking into my diet, instead of just taking pills to cover up the symptoms. Good luck!

I have a product created in 3D. I want to build it and market it. I need feedback and investors. So I'm creating a landing page but what would be the 'Call to Action' button text?

    1. 1

So you designed a product and modeled it in 3D, but now in order to manufacture and sell it, you are looking to attract investments?

      1. 1

Yes. I need to collect emails to show 'interest'. How should my landing page look like? What is the CTA for my landing page?

        1. 1

Like any other Kickstart project that sells a physical good which has not yet been delivered? Honestly, it's hard to say for sure without knowing what you're doing exactly.

It's a home robot. Takes pictures, moves around, obstacle recognition, face recognition etc. :)

            1. 1

Depends on your use cases, it could be:

              • Keep an eye on your aging grandparents
              • Keep your cat entertained while you are at work
              • Keep a watchful eye on your babysitter
              • Lever let your teenage kids have sex in your house
              • Never walk to a microwave again
              • Your beers now comes to you...

Basically, consider what it's good for, then enable others to imagine this robot in their home.

Here's a good example of a home robot. It's pretty useless, and requires way more time than their video suggests, and it's programming "language" is meh, but I still got one :) Use it for inspiration?

                :D :D :D
Those are some interesting use cases. Thanks Man. I appreciate your input.
I've just launched the landing page.

One day Pixl will bring your beer to you :)
                Cheers

It's adorable! Not sure how useful it is, but I do love the blend of rolling and flying robot. What if you could fly them with friends, and go through obstacles ? o.0

                  1. 1

I'll take adorable :D I'll add that use case to my list. In Phase one it just follows you around and can take pictures and videos on command

                    1. 2

This might sound strange, but if your robot could be (a) very cheap (b) be able to follow my cat around, it could be helpful - basically a 24/7 tracker of where the cat goes, so I know which neighbor is feeding him during the day, when we asked not to. It's very specific, but I wonder if there's a larger use-case here ;)

                    2. 1

Interesting, but I'm concerned about Pixl giving your cat trauma lol
But maybe there is something here, I like the surveillance idea.

I can't find people to test my project management platform

    1. 1

Have you tried looking? If you are building the software for yourself, then you need to find people like yourself, who have a similar need. If you are building for a potential customer, then you should find that customer. No one needs just a project management software. Paper and pencil is a PM-ing software. You gotta figure who wants yours, and why, then you'll know exactly who to look for, and once you know that, you'd know where to find them.

If you have some side money, you can hire people on microworkers. You could pay them like 0.10 to do whatever needed on your site.
