Can I monetize my Chrome extension?

This past summer I developed a Chrome extension call Bang Links (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bang-links/cgjkfgaebafenkbcgdjkiplhcjngcoca). Bang Links is an extension to quickly create URL shortcuts with Chrome. For example, a user can save "yt" as a shortcut to YouTube, and then typing "! yt" in the Chrome address bar will send the user to YouTube. Bang Links also allows for parameterized shortcuts, meaning you can create more advanced shortcuts like "! rdt <subreddit>" to redirect to a specific subreddit on Reddit with the url "https://reddit.com/r/<subreddit>".

I plan to continue developing and improving this app, and I'm wondering if you guys think it is possible to monetize an extension like this. Regarding my monetization strategy, I was thinking of limiting a user to ~5 shortcuts with a paid option for unlimited. Any thoughts or feedback would be really appreciated!
