Can I promote hardware as well as software?

I'm currently working on (and almost done with) a holographic workstation project. It is an innovation that would create a very sci-fi looking workspace (kind of like Minority Report or Iron Man) that is already starting to create some buzz. I would like to get involved as an indie Hacker, is this the right venue for that? I am looking to create a solid product but in order to do so I need investors and partners.
