Hey community,
For the past few months, I have been working on building two of my products:
Running my own design agency has helped me build up my network in the past two years. Since I am an active part of the designer community, I have found also got several people interested in using ruttl. As a result, it has helped me in in identifying the correct market fit.
I have been promoting both the products on LinkedIn, Instagram and few other designer communities until now. The landing pages were also featured on multiple inspiration websites such as Landbook, LandingFolio, onepagelove etc. I have also tried SaaS listing platforms and received a good response from them.
For the both products, my initial target market is people based in the US and UK markets. However, the percentage of leads coming from those areas is really low.
I would love to ask if anyone has faced such issue before? Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how I can penetrate these particular markets at a minimum cost?
Any suggestions are welcome!
Cheers!
I was working on something similar to ruttle. You made it better than I could. I loved the work and am in the waiting list.
I am releasing my own product this month. I would love to hear what folks say about this. I know it's gonna be a long journey.
Ahh thanks for the feedback @rbluena! What's the email id you've used to register for the waitlist? I'll see if I can get the developer to send you the access right away.
Eager to hear about your product launch as well. Let's surely stay connected for updates!
I gave a try, but it seems to take a little bit longer for the page to load. That might be a drawback for people got used to use browsers' extensions to take screenshots quickly attach comments to screenshots. It is great product, am looking forward to see how to goes from where it is.
Well, glad to hear your opinion on it! We are optimizing it so that the users have best experience after ruttl goes officially live. Stay tuned!
Yeah, get the ball rolling by doing lifetime deals with sites like Appsumo or Stackcommerce. This will get you your initial cash, user feedback and eyeballs.
@peejay That's an interesting advice for sure. I have seen a lot of Appsumo products going super viral. But do you think the lifetime deal idea is sustainable in the long run?
Definitely. Most people buy your deal and never use it. I've never received a lot of support questions from the lifetime deals. You do get the benefits though.
Haha that's a good one. Might help generate some cash flow for the later stages of product development. Thanks for the tip!
Hey Harsh - qqs for both:
Hey @mick
Hope this answered your questions! Feel free to shoot any more and I would be happy to answer them! Eager to hear your thoughts!
Awesome. Another tactic that you might try is to use social media monitoring tools to monitor for mentions of:
Phrases that surface your target demographic ("on producthunt" or "MRR" might lead you to founders)
Phrases that surface users of whatever competitors are most lacking in the areas that you're strong in (not sure what that is - todoist?)
That might help you jump into conversations with potential users that you can learn from.
This sounds really interesting! I have tried Google Alerts once but it didn't work out the way I expected it too.
Although a different type of social media monitoring might actually work out pretty well I guess. Any particular tools come to your mind?
