Can we make Better Products with a better designer, developer communication?

Hey IH,
I'll get right into it. I'm a developer and I am not really good with design principles and all.

But I really love UI challenges and good interactions also making products. As I was browsing through dribble the other day I started to notice that a lot of designers had these really cool practical solutions and designs and they really wanted to make them come to life.

So since then, I have been thinking it would be a great idea to start a designer-developer sort of community just for finding each other collaborating and even bootstrapping businesses of their own businesses since these two groups are really very creative groups.

I haven't really put so much thought in it but,
Have you ever felt like this was something you wanted to do?
Would you join this community?
Please just bash my idea with anything you have before I start moving forward with it.
