My name is Montana and I am the founder of the tech startup spotivity (www.spotivity.com). We help teens find meaningful afterschool programs – and soon we will do so globally! I’m a non-tech tech founder who has needed to find interesting solutions to startup problems. We are still alive and kicking and looking forward to learn more. Also – if you know any teens please let them know that we have an open survey (in conjunction with research work we are doing with Dartmouth) https://dartmouth.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5dKb1G3GuHKnnTg and all the inputs possible would be great. And yes, there is a raffle and prizes for participation! Rock on. Montana.
Hey, Montana, quick clarifying question: Are you asking for advice on how to go about finding teens? Or are you asking people to talk to teens about Spotivity, and send them to your forum link?
Hey @nicogreenarry thank you for reaching out. To clarify - the request is to help the survey link make its way to wither a) Parents or guardians of teens (who can send the link to teens) and b) teens themselves. Does that help answer your question? Got any more? Happy to answer and you can email me at montana@spotivity.com if you wish. Regards, M
No, I still don't understand. I get that you want parents/guardians/teens to get to that link. What I was asking was: is the purpose of your post to ask us for advice on how you can get survey responses (i.e., we offer advice, and you do the actual user research work), or are you asking us to send the survey to out ourselves (i.e., we do the user research work)?
Yes. Any help you and the community can be to get the link out to Parents of Teens AND / OR Teens would be greatly appreciated. (the link is the one provided in the original post).
I'm not sure exactly how others feel, but my feeling is that IndieHackers is meant to be a place to ask for advice (e.g. asking how to do marketing), not to actually do your marketing for you.
I'm just trying to help as many teens as possible. No harm if you don't want to push out. But I hope you like the tool. Any insights welcomed.
