Can you understand what my product does in 5 seconds?

Hey guys,

I have a problem to solve. In the last 30 days, 796 visitors visited my website, but only 3 of them sign up.

I guess people don't fully understand the product and just stare for a few seconds and leave.

Could you visit my website and tell what you understand or don't understand, what would be better and simpler?

I think I should be able to explain in 5 seconds.

Let's get started: https://www.monitup.com

This did creep me out and I closed the page after reading the first headline. Why don't you find a business that's not creepy instead? What I understand is if you ever release your list of customers, that will make a great list of companies nobody should ever work for

    1. 5

I came here to type pretty much the same thing. If I've hired people that need babysitting...that means I've hired the wrong people. If I'm working for someone who wants to "monitor" my behavior at work, I've picked the wrong place to work.

    2. 4

Absolutely, this is a disaster. It made me sick. I am not sure what to think about people using such a product

    3. 1

I feel this phenomenon is pretty common in large enterprises.
My current employer does this, but it's done with the consent of the employee.

    4. 0

I promise you, my 2nd successful startup will be a creepy business. I really want that too :) I can't share my client list sorry :))

  2. 5

It's pretty clear what your product does. The problem might be exactly what it does, though. Speaking for myself, I would never want such a tool to monitor my employees.

    1. 1

      Hey Furla,

There may be a need for such a product in different locations, in different cultures, and in different jobs. It's natural that you don't need it.

However, we should not think of MonitUp as just "employee monitoring". In fact, real data is collected from computers for your company and your employees and it can provide information for us to detect some questions in advance and take action.

      For example:
We need to identify our employees who need training.
If there is a problem about the system and end users, we should know about it beforehand.
We find it difficult to measure the productivity of full-time, remote, hybrid and freelancers.
We must control the use of unnecessary applications that use a lot of bandwidth, such as Netflix, Twitch and YouTube, by your office workers.
We need to identify our employees with low productivity or job satisfaction because inefficient employees cause an average of $500 Billion lost annually in the United States.
We should know to what extent your employees use your technology investments. A total of $34 billion annually is invested in unused software in the US and UK.
We must ensure that your employees do not store and use your sensitive data, such as customer data, in a different location.

  3. 4

I am your exact target customer, I hire overseas programmers all the time... but man, I would never do this to them... That is awful. You did not validate this with employers before developing it obviously, most would have told you it is untenable. I mean, even spying on the urls they visit... only the desperate would accept to work under such conditions, the good ones have ample work and don't have to endure this.

The other factor I would consider is how will a customer that does this to his employees treat me as a vendor... Hmm...

    1. 1

      Hey Serge,

You may not need an app like MonitUp, I'm happy for you. I think they have a really good team.

However, in different countries, different cultures, people in different jobs may need such an application, I have customers in 11 different countries.

Companies want to make money, people want to be happy. Despite this, we get up from our beds in the morning before it gets light, dive into the traffic in crowded cities and travel for hours. Then he spends 8 hours in front of a desk and chair like a prisoner.

We have a lot of problems other than employee monitoring software, I hope we get rid of them all :)

      1. 1

Yes, I agree there is a need for such software.
In an ideal world, we wouldn't need monitoring like this, but we don't live in an ideal world.

  4. 4

Employee monitoring is a legit service offering - so I would not worry that it is creepy or anything. There are plenty of million dollar SaaS companies in this niche.

Your website seems fine from a communication point of view. Before 'fixing' anything, I would ask you where are these 796 visitors coming from? The source of this traffic matters a great deal.

    I will tell you why.

I run a service called CWVIQ that is a free email alert tool for slow-loading websites. At the outset, it seems like this is something every website owner wants - and so anyone with a website clicking through should sign up. But that is not what happens.

I have noticed that when I talk about the tool myself, and people click through from there, the signups are quite low.

However, if someone else is talking about it, and they click through from there, the signup conversion rate is higher.

So that is what I would focus on. Find influential partners who can talk about your tool with their audience. Watch conversions grow at a much higher pace.

    1. 1

      Hey Anand,

Thank you for your wonderful comment. It's really important to look at things differently.

I'm sure the target audience is not correct, maybe a very small part of it.

The SEO side is pretty weak, but I've been working for SEO for the last few months and now I'm starting to see little by little effects. About 10 visitors(with a word other than MonitUp) a day began to arrive. I want the website to be ready when the right audience arrives.

      796 users:
      Direct - 358
      indiehackers - 339
google - 141 (Only those who search for the word monitup)
      twitter - 93
      linkedin - 17
      facebook - 14
      reddit - 14

I'm really far from Influential partners, who are they? Did you mean like a twitter account with a few thousand followers?

  5. 3

I think it's pretty clear, but I am familiar with other tools that do that.

Personally, I am against such software, but I think there's an audience for it, and I guess the 796 visitors weren't exactly the people who were to buy the product.

The landing could definitely be improved, but I think finding your ideal customers and getting them to the landing would be more beneficial.

    1. 1

      Hey Art,

Yes, you are absolutely right, it is very difficult to reach the right target audience.

I was very poor on the SEO side and was not getting any visitors from google. I've been working on SEO for the past few months and I've started getting little visitors. Visitors from Google are likely leads.

How can I attract the right audience? What would you recommend for this?

      1. 1

You could think of who would be the right audience for the product, and target them.

I would assume that software development outsourcing firms would be able to use the product, as they are selling people hours at the end of the day.

Then I'd think to target companies within India/Pakistan or somewhere where the billed rates are lower, and the tracking software may not be as frowned upon.

Likely the company size would be 50+ people or maybe even more, and the decision makers for such a purchase would be probably CEO/CTO, resource managers, or somebody like this.

I'd then go find such people and build a list, and would then reach out to them via LinkedIn/email, either manually or automating it with tools like Expandi, Lemlist, etc.

That's just my thought process I've come up with in a few minutes, not a complete research into your audience :)

        1. 1

Haha these are great methods, would you like to work together on the sales side at MonitUp :)

          1. 1

Thanks, I am flattered, but not sure that your product is something I'd be passionate about.

Though If you'd need advice - let me know, you can reach me here or via Twitter DMs @agaradecki

            1. 1

Passion! This is really important to be successful in a business. A lot of people work to get on with their lives and mundane jobs come up.

It is essential to work with a passionate team that believes in the same thing in order to do great work.

I hope we have the opportunity to work with passionate people who believe in the same thing.

What makes you passionate and motivates you?

              1. 1

That's a tough one, might need time to think to give an answer.

  6. 2

I did go through your product. I understand why some people commented harshly, I'm a privacy freak and would never ever use this product. But still, customers and their employees who agree to use it are adults and responsible of their actions and the company cultures they build.
As an ex growth hacker, I can't emphasize some details enough about this landing page. Some must to-do list in my humble opinion:

    • To lower your bounce rate, consider updating the overall design of the page to make it look more modern and visually appealing. This could involve using more modern fonts, colors, and layout elements. This color scheme is not accessible and not visually pleasing (ex. Green on Blue). Which leads users to not trusting your product in a second.

In some cases this might be less important but since you're selling a product that requires private data access and is responsible for security, this is crucial while branding.

    • Emphasizing the privacy and security features of the product. This could include highlighting any certifications or security measures that the product has in place, as well as explaining how the product protects the privacy of employees and freelancers.

    • Adding customer testimonials or reviews to the landing page. This can help build trust and credibility with visitors.

    • Using social proof, such as the number of customers or users, to add credibility and demonstrate the popularity of the product.

    • Avoiding using language or imagery that feels intrusive or overbearing. Remember that the product is intended to help improve productivity, not to "spy on employees". ( Also, stop telling people here that you're into creepy business ffs. )

    • Consider A/B testing different versions of the landing page to see which elements and layouts are most effective at converting visitors into customers. Especially test CTA texts.

    • Improve the software itself, especially employee daemon. The setup experience looks shady. Definitely wouldn't be trusted by an employer, especially from a western culture.

    • AFAIK Asian-Southeast Asian companies are into this kind of measures more, so consider localizing your page to their languages and maybe redesign some parts for their cultures in those versions.

I hope this could be helpful, yeni ürün hayırlı olsun.

    1. 1

      Hey Yaşar,

Thank you very much for your candid comments. After a lot of useful comments, criticisms and suggestions here, I made a lot of work lists for myself and I want to realize them as soon as possible.

As you suggested, I received a lot of criticism on the design side, MonitUp's revenues are still very low, so we continue with this $0 cost design made by the technical guys.

At this stage, I am not sure how accurate it would be to allocate a budget for the design and how beneficial it would be, but at least I can try a few small designs with a cheap budget.

I will think about different language and different location. At $0 cost it's impossible to focus on a different country otherwise :(

      İlgin için çok teşekkür ederim.

  7. 2

I am surprised nobody has told you this yet, but here it goes:

"In the last 30 days, 796 visitors visited my website, but only 3 of them sign up." is not enough info to reach any conclussion AT ALL.

    For two main reasons:

    • It's not enough traffic, thus your data is not (at all) statistically significant. It can just be random data.

    • You are not sharing info related to traffic quality (source, temperature...).
If that was "cold traffic from tiktok", I would consider that (non statistically significant) data good. If it was warm traffic from a targeted Linkedin campaign, that would be low CR and a sign that something is off in your value prop (though, again, nothing of this is valid if you don't have enough data to discard "randomness").

Regarding your business offering, just don't hear to people saying that is "creepy". Remote working is challenging the way we used to work, and we are still discovering how to better approach it in a way that suits different companies, with different team profiles.

If the alternative to "not be monitored" is going to the office everyday and doing a 2 hours commute, I am pretty sure lots of people would choose the former.

We are not here to criticize one another, but to support the deployment of our ideas.

Hope you the best luck @Faruk_durak

This is a very niche area and I need to reach people who really need it, but our income is very low yet so I don't know how to do it with a low budget. I hope SEO will help me reach the right target audience.

There may be a need for such a product in different locations, in different cultures, and in different jobs.

Hm... For me it is clear but the page is too short... I read the page, understand the value, and start scrolling but this is it... No screenshots, no details... And I think it is not finished and leave. What if you will add a few screens to this page?

    1. 1

      Hey Kirill,

Actually my page was quite long and again a topic of discussion here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/daily-visitors-are-700-but-interaction-is-0-fd88f09cfa

They suggested it be plain and minimalist, and I edited it. But I think it was too minimalistic. When I watch visitors with Horjar, they pull the page all the way down, as you said, and then pull it back up, examine it a bit, and close it. It probably gives people the impression of "incompetent".

Yes, the homepage was minimalist, but it seems a bit too much. I intend to briefly explain the 4 main features with screenshots. Again, it will be minimalist, but I would like to briefly describe how we measure efficiency and the issues that come to mind such as GPDR.

      1. 1

        Interesting, thank you!

Looks like we should be something in the middle. Not too long, not too short... Interesting.

        1. 1

It seems so. I will try and learn, follow me :)

  9. 2

Yes, 5 seconds was enough to scare the crap out of me.

I'm sure there's a market for these things, but damn...

    1. 1

      Hey Tim,

You do not need to worry.

MonitUp does not follow you. Not following yet :))

  10. 2

Is this for monitoring what your employees do in their working time? It seems that the employees will think that the boss doesn't trust them. And it may against their privacy. This is what I thought after viewing the website. Maybe I was getting it wrong.

  11. 1

I think most people don't like the idea itself. Most of us, as well as your visitors could be employees. And we are humans, not robots. I would not want to work at a company where they want to track my work in this detail, so the product itself made me uncomfortable.

  12. 1

I agree with the others, this product makes me sick and goes against everything I stand for. I could never get behind something like this.

Surely you're inadvertently collecting sensitive information? How are you handling this from a data protection standpoint? Are you GDPR compliant? Simply "reassuring people you're not interested in their passwords" is not enough to avoid the world of hurt you're about to endure if somebody makes a complaint.

  13. 1

It sounds like you are having difficulty converting visitors to your website into sign-ups. There could be a number of reasons for this. Some potential issues to consider include:

Your website's sign-up form may be difficult to find or use.
You may not be effectively communicating the value that users will receive by signing up.
There may be technical issues with your website that are preventing users from successfully completing the sign-up process.
To address these issues, you could try the following:

Make sure your sign-up form is prominently displayed on your website and easy to use.
Clearly explain the benefits that users will receive by signing up, such as access to exclusive content or special offers.
Check for and fix any technical issues that may be causing problems for users.
I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or would like more specific recommendations, please don't hesitate to ask.

      Hey Carlos,

Thank you for your suggestions, I'll take them into consideration and review them.

  14. 1

What I see at the time page loaded is wordy title and description. Being lazy I'd rather to go back and open another search result to find less text filled product.

Consider i.e. "Increase the productivity of your teams and freelancers with employee monitoring" to "Employee monitor for teams' and freelancers' better productivity". Then A/B test the page.

The other problem is outdated design and graphics.

    1. 1

      Hey Renn,

I've added the text and design update to my to-do list. Thank you for your interest.

  15. 1

Your site is still loading since more than a minute. Now it is visible after a page refresh.
clicking on Get Started is again taking ages to load.

    1. 1

I think this is a momentary issue, we try our best to make it run fast and I'm sure it's not running that slow. Would you please try again?

      1. 1

Working fine now, you can quickly check why it takes so much time to load using chrome f12, I am happy to help if needed

  16. 1

It’s pretty clear what it does but you might sell it in a more positive light. I worked at a company that used something like this in house and it was presented as - get credit for what you do and give transparency to your clients. Reading as is it really sounds just like a micromanagement tool - something most ppl try to avoid becoming.

    1. 1

      Hey Sonny,

Thank you for your inspiring comment. I will work on it.

  17. 1

Looks like your product spies on employees. Doesn't sound very good to be honest.

    1. 1

Yes, that's right, I'll try to explain it a little more simply and with words that won't bother the visitors. Thanks.

  18. 1

What do you use to track the number of visitors?

    1. 1

      I use Google Analytics

  19. 1

I believe you should also offer it to freelancers, so that they feel more confident when closing a contract. Ensuring service transparency.

    1. 1

      Hey Cláudia,

We have a package called Freelancer. The employer assigns work to the freelancer. The freelancer chooses the jobs assigned to the freelancer and announces that the freelancer has started that job.

So we lose how he spends the freelancer time doing that job. If there is a dispute between the employer and the freelancer, results can be obtained with the help of the data that MonitUp keeps.

You can also measure freelancer productivity.

  20. 1

I think it’s pretty clear what the product does, but understandably for most people it would be perceived very negatively.

    • Out of the 796 visitors, how many of these people are actually business owners that are part of your target market?
    • Certain terms like “employee monitoring” and “tracking” have very negative connotations. Can you reframe your value proposition to sound less intrusive?
  21. 1

It’s clear in seconds what your service does. But your elevator pitch fails to acknowledge the moral hazard and general discomfort of continuous employee surveillance. I suggest considering a different front page value proposition such as helping identify wasted time and resources, rather than general surveillance. That is basically the same outcome but without the totalitarian angle.

    1. 1

      Hey Noz,

You are very right about this, people may be starting to have something negative in their minds while browsing the home page.

I will try to present it with a softer expression. Thank you.

  22. 1

Setting aside what the employee feels...
I think its lacking social proof, a way to validate your claims.

    1. 1

I'm going to try something for social proof. Thank you for your comment.

  23. 1

I understand its for tracking and spying workers. I think the understandability is fine, maybe there is some issue with the value proposition (product) or some issue with the audience targeting (marketing).

    1. 1

      Hey Wiild,

Thanks for your comment, for example, what slogan would you be interested in and persuade you to sign up and give it a try?

      1. 1

        Its not a slogan thing.

I'm not a boss so I don't have employees yet I used freelancers. I do fixed price gigs so I don't see why I should track them using your app. I'm probably not your audience.

        1. 1

This isn't a product every boss or CEO might need. It may be needed in different countries, in different cultures, in different jobs.

We have a package called Freelance, this feature won't work for fixed fee jobs. If you have a freelancer that you have a long-term and hourly deal with and you somehow get into a conflict, you may need it.

There is such an application used by freelancers working through UpWork. If there is a disagreement between the two parties, the right party is determined thanks to this application.

  24. 1

I got confused by the CTA, is it free or is it $3?

    1. 1

      Hey Moran,

It's actually 7 days free, with the cheapest package starting at $3.

I guess I should write something like this: 7 days free to try, with packages starting at $3.

or more simply: Try it for free.

  25. 1

Putting the business model aside, the product explanation is clear to me.

There's still room for improvement on overall messaging, but with a conversion of 0,4%, it's clear that the VP doesn't resonate with your target audience. Try to brainstorm on different segments, create example user journeys and try more of an outbound marketing approach to testing every group. As you can see in the comments, the product is controversial, so it shouldn't be too hard to activate the community.

What I would suggest is trying the Asian market - I have experience working with companies from there, and they really do care about the time employee spend at "work," not actual results. With remote work widely adapted and matured - Western markets are shifting towards result-oriented work, where it doesn't matter how long someone spends on a computer as long as they bring value to the company.

    1. 1

      Hey Daniel,

Thank you for your inspiring comment.

You're right about the western market, different cultures have different ways of measuring productivity.

Our revenues are very low yet, so I don't know how to try something in the Asian market. I work for SEO and try to reach the right target audience organically with minimum cost.

Do you have any suggestions for me to reach the Asian market with low costs?

      1. 1

You will need to localize the website to Chinese, Japanese, and Korean markets. Breaking through these markets is usually expensive for foreign brands. In addition, it requires knowledge of local channels (Baidu, WeChat, Maimai, etc.).

What could possibly be a low-hanging fruit for you is partner-channel marketing with job boards and platforms for VAs from the Philippines, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Some of these platforms offer built-in tracking solutions like yours - like talentorg.com.

        1. 1

Thank you for this great information, I will look into all of them one by one.

I can create a subdomain for these countries, like : japan.monitup.com and then create a Japanese landing page. So I can drive Japanese searchers to my website with Google at a cost of $0. But I don't know how useful this is, it's necessary to try.

  26. 1

The message gets delivered, it is clearly explained what the product does. Maybe those 796 visitors are not the right target audience. Try changing the target audience and work a bit on design. There are companies offering similar or same product which validate your idea. https://www.pcmag.com/picks/the-best-employee-monitoring-software "OMG its creepy" forget about those, my wife is an executive in the top name in tech and trust me they monitor everything, even how many times you press Enter on your keyboard :D

    1. 1

      Hey Vlad,

I'm sure the target audience is not correct, maybe a very small part of it.

The SEO side is pretty weak, but I've been working for SEO for the last few months and now I'm starting to see little by little effects. About 10 visitors(with a word other than MonitUp) a day began to arrive. I want the website to be ready when the right audience arrives.

      twitter - 93
      linkedin - 17
      facebook - 14
      reddit - 14

Ahhh that's right, my wife is a teacher but we married men are already being monitor since we said yes :D

      1. 1

Keep iterating and keep working on SEO but you can also reach out to companies with cold emails or calling, as someone mentioned already this seems like a product for outsourcing agencies and companies that sell hours so try with those. Make appealing email template and start sending.

  27. 1

It's very easy to understand what your product does. Others here have roasted you for the industry you're in, but let's leave that aside.

I think one problem here is design. The page looks pretty old and has the look of a simple Wordpress template. If I was going to shop for employee surveillance software, I'd want something that looks slick and high-tech.

Also the page is lacking any sort of social proof, etc. Which I know is hard to get before you have customers but I think once you get it that will go a long way.

    1. 1

Yes, you are right about the design, because our design budget is $0 :) We received a lot of criticism about the design, I think I should allocate some budget to it, at least make some improvements for the home page.

Actually, we have 30 customers from 11 countries but I couldn't understand what social proof means. Can you give some detail?

      1. 1

Social Proof is another way of saying testimonials. You should ask these customers for public reviews and then add these to your website. They can be as simple as “great service!” or even better would be reviews that highlighted the pain point your product overcame.

        1. 1

Ohh got it thanks, I'll try to do that. It is very difficult to get feedback from customers :(

  28. 1

Probably work on the website copy and the whole design of the website.

    It's not intuitive.

    1. 1

      Hey Arnab,

We had to work on the design, we received a lot of criticism :) Thanks for your comments.

  29. 1

Made me feel uneasy. Made me feel strange. Made me sick.

    1. 1

What is causing these? Is it design? idea? or all of these? :)

  30. 1

Nice product. Can it tackle Volunteers @Faruk_durak? We have 18,292 of them at https://skilledup.life who are dedicated to helping tech startups free (once subscribed).

Why not think about building few teams using our free talent? e.g.

    • User acquisition team
    • Conversion team (sales)
    • Customer support team
    • Marketing team to create demand.

    Best regards

Yes, it's clear what it does. Despite it being creepy to most users on here, this type of software is used by many companies. I wouldn't work for one, but many do.

So I'd guess that the type of visitor to your site simply isn't the market for your product.

    1. 1

      Hey Steve,

Thank you for your comment. It is quite difficult to attract the right audience to the website :(

I need to reach HR managers, CEO, General Manager, Bosses of companies. Do you have a suggestion for this?

  32. 1

I read the page - most of the text explains the type of customer you're looking for, rather than telling that customer what problem you're solving.

Felt like too much text in general, especially in a mobile view. Also "try it for free starting at $3" is an oxymoron no?

    1. 1

      Hey Boyang,

What would it be like: We monitor your time and enable us to realize the unproductive times.

In fact, there is actually little of the text and content on the home page. I might try to split the text and stretch the page instead of reducing it further.

It's actually 7 days free, with the cheapest package starting at $3.

I guess I should write something like this: 7 days free to try, with packages starting at $3.

or more simply: Try it for free.

  33. 1

Oh man better I've never seen that. Now I can not unsee it.

I think it is absolutely clear what it is. Have you ever thought explanation is much simpler? Maybe people simply do not want to use your product?

    1. 2

      Hey Dusan,

Yes, it is possible, but I think many companies will want to measure and increase their efficiency. Of course, they may choose other ways.

      1. 1

That is a good assumption. The issue I see is that it is dealing with human behavior, something that is really hard to measure and even harder to optimize. If not impossible. What I would do if I were in a situation like you, would try to pivot it somehow. Anyway, I wish you success with your project 👍

        1. 1

Thank you very much for your comments, I will try to do my best.

  34. 1

Seems pretty clear, maybe i would move up that screenshot to first section, so it gives first impression without scrolling down.

    Good luck with product!

  35. 1

I would consider cut some words, add video/images that illustrate your product.

Did you consider other factors? Perhaps you advertise in the wrong places?

  36. 1

    Hey @Faruk_durak,

Visited your website yesterday when you told me about it on the other thread, really love the concept of your application but the UI needs work.

I don't want to be mean, but honest opinion is that the UI lacks the feel of a premium product.

I would like to share feedback with you on email or via any other platform rather than this public post.

Love the tech, again sorry for being mean.

    1. 1

      Hey Muneeb,

Thank you so much for sharing your honest thoughts. We must recognize our mistakes and shortcomings so that we can correct them.

We did the design with minimum cost, we did not work with a designer. We are currently trying to spend our income to make more sales.

How effective do you think design will be for finding new customers?

      1. 1

I think that is the most crucial aspect of acquiring new customers, check the marketing strategy of Apple from 1977 https://www.pinterest.com/pin/339599628143200048/

I've personally seen people sell really buggy products really well because of how they presented it, it's all in the vibe now .. apparently.

        Some quick fixes (home page):

        • the background image looks really blurry and with different screen sizes it will get stretched further. Also the promotional text length is too long and overwhelming, I understand that you want to explain it properly but less is more now. The idea now is to have a more cleaner look so utilise white spaces properly check this out as an example https://frill.co
        • change the icons from .jpg to either system icons or .svg

Put aside a small budget for a freelancer who can work for you and design the whole thing, you can probably get one in the range of $10-$20/hour depending on the country you hire from.

If you need my help please let me know :)

  37. 1

It was pretty straightforward, I feel adding a GIF/ Video which shows the application from inside on the Hero section would help

  38. 1

Hey Faruk, Can understand the product but maybe you are not speaking to what they might be loosing on, if they don't use your product.

Also, the formatting and overall aesthetics of the page could be better.

    1. 1

      Hey,

this might be an important point. Let me see what I can do for this.

      Thank you.

  39. 1

I think the idea/message is clear but I feel it does not align with the actual product. As a freelancer, I don't know how my client will improve my productivity by monitoring what I do (with fear?). You should also check EU laws regarding this type of software if you are targeting EU customers.

The closes software I can think of is https://rize.io/ (Rize) which uses similar tech but targetted at individual users. This has a more "positive" effect than ab employee monitoring software. As a full-time employee in the past and a freelancer now, I hate monitoring software.

As a freelancer, I work with multiple clients on my personal computer. I will not work with a client who sends me a link to download and install spyware in my machine.

    1. 1

      Hey Shoban,

MonitUp actually measures productivity, it is in the hands of the company and the employee to increase productivity.

If you have used UpWork there is a similar app. The jobs you have agreed on appear in your application and you choose them before you start and you say get started. It automatically takes screenshots and calculates the runtime, and also takes a screenshot in 5 minutes. this app

Apart from screenshots, MonitUp also keeps track of which app you used for how long and which website you visited. You can categorize applications as efficient, inefficient and neutral. Thus, you measure the productivity of the freelancer.

I know people don't want to use these shady apps and I understand them. If there is a conflict between employer and freelancer/employee, we want MonitUp to be used to resolve it.

Thank you very much for the sample application you sent, it's a really nice application, but even though we basically do the same job, we are actually doing something different. Maybe I should make MonitUp such a personal productivity measurer :))

  40. 1

Hi Faruk, I just visited your homepage in a few seconds, and I think that I understood it in 5 seconds. As others here already said, I think that the question of privacy/trust arises quickly in my mind. I would also like to see concrete expanded use cases in a second section.

    1. 1

      Hi Jeremy,

This was a really important comment. Selling something is actually about persuading the person who comes. When questions appear in his mind that he cannot answer in the first few seconds, the visitor may give up and close the page.

Thanks for your comment, I'll think about it.

      1. 1

Of course, such a landing page has to answer quickly and efficiently the most common visitors' questions & objections.

  41. 1

I could, Its employee monitoring software to know the team productivity and efficiency.

As a user like to see more example, demo of your dashboard, some image and videos to catch the attention.

    1. 1

I agree. It is hard for me to understand how you achieve it, and I would like, in the first page, to understand what do you mean by employee monitoring.
      Hope it helps !

    2. 1

      Hey Stalia,

Thanks for your great comment. I'll work on that and see what I can do.

  42. 1

I could if it's "employee monitoring software".

I couldn't understand how that improves productivity, which I'm very skeptical about. You would need some very convincing copy to so that.

"How it works" should be an overview of how the thing works, not how to set it up and use it. It should be in plain English, 3 or 4 steps.

Also as a freelancer there is no way in hell I'm installing that. Or working for someone that asks me to do that.

Focus on the SME FTE market is my advice.

Good luck, my gut feeling is there is a market for that kind of stuff.

    1. 1

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I noticed some great fixes on the "How it works" page.

I will examine the SME FTE market.

Thank you very much for your comment.

  43. 1

Hi Faruk, I just visited your site and I could understand it in 5 seconds. As a user I would love to see more examples though.

    1. 1

      Hi Burno,

Thank you for viewing. What kind of examples would you like to see? Like productivity charts?

      1. 1

Yes, like HOW you actually see the productivity, maybe more features examples so that I can have a better idea about how it is done :)

        1. 1

Ok, great I'll work on it :) Thanks.

  44. 1

Good idea, but it is a bit draconian. What you need to do is find out the actual statistics for productivity. This actually ties in with the employers ability to discover and clearly define projects

    1. 1

      Hey Roppa,

MonitUp collects a lot of data about the company and the employee. It's my job to focus the customer on the right way. I have to prepare reports that analyze efficiency correctly. Thank you for your suggestions.

  45. 1

Can't understand it within 5 seconds. I kind of know what it does but am unsure about it. Not a good sign.

First 5 seconds I see, "Increase the productivity of your teams and freelancers with employee monitoring".

This is what I get "productivity, teams, freelancers, employee monitoring", so it does employee monitoring. But, monitoring how? Does it track the time of what they do or what?

Be a little bit more specific about what your service does, because employee monitoring is a little bit too broad for me to understand.

I suggest changing it to something like "Track how employees are using their time" or "Know how your employees are spending their time at work", for someone that wants to know how their employees are spending their time.

Increasing productivity and team and freelancer and employee monitoring don't really add much to the context.

Shameless plug, you can also use Howuku to see how people navigate around your site and run free A/B tests to test out different headlines.

    Hope that helps.

    1. 1

      Hey Donald,

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll look into these and think about them.

Good luck to Howuku, I hope it gets where you want him soon.

  46. 1

I understand in less than 10 seconds what Monitup is about.

However, I don't understand what pain points it solves.

I would add some sections focused on the pain points it solves and how it solves them.

The "Boost your productivity by 30%" section is fluff for me. I don't know how much that is and how it's going to do that.

I hope it's helpful feedback. Good luck moving forward 🙌

    1. 1

      Hey Phillip,

      Thank you for your time.

It may be helpful to include small photos and short descriptions explaining what features and how I increased productivity by 30%.

The homepages of different companies doing similar work are very long. The 5 second rule recommends keeping the page minimalistic and plain. Again, I think I should add new things as short and simple as possible. I'm not sure if very long homepages are better.

Let me see what I can do for this.

      Thanks again.

  47. 1

To be honest, it says what it is but it doesn't entitle the features automatically. I recommend adding this to the main page so any visitor know what it has and how it can be useful to them.

    1. 2

      Hey Kobi,

Thank you for your review and comment. I can try to add a screen and a short text (4 features) describing the important features.

      1. 1

No problem man, all the best!
