🚀 Case: The launch of Discord server for Projects, Startups & Founders

In my experience finding good co-founders and new teammates is a really hard thing. That's why we wanted to make it a little more easier.

We created a discord community, where you can share your projects (even before launch), receive feedback and find potential contributors that liked your project & idea.

If you're interested, join https://discord.com/invite/4naFT8d

It happened yesterday, the idea of the server is to provide a place to announce your product, discuss it and find like-minded people & future teammates.

We started with a structure of the server, broking it into 3 main parts:

  1. Main channels
    • general discussion,
    • server rules,
    • welcoming intro
    • #my-story - a place to tell about yourself & your product
  2. News
    • announcements by our team,
    • resources for product launchers,
    • announcements of Products by community
  3. Discussion channels split by common topics (productivity/design/development tools, marketing, IoT, and so on...)

The launch strategy was to start from Reddit, we targeted r/Startups & r/SideProjects and the post on the last one was welcomed by the audience

A few more announcements were published on HackerNews,

We've got first 35+ Members!! in the 1st day of launch (from scratch)
It might seem like not to much, but most importantly - channels became active... And people that joined our server told us they were waiting for such a place!

"Thanks for this space" - One of new server members told us. And we thank you, an awesome community of Indie Hackers, Product founders & tech enthuasists! Let's collaborate and build together awesome things...
