Cashew - looking for feedback

Early days but here’s a current work in progress of my landing page

http://landing-page.m21.now.sh/ Not yet live on a domain

In general I want the link to do the talking... rather than a spiel upfront on this forum

This is a great idea. There's a lot of variability in terms of how much something like this costs- so may need to show costs upfront. Not knowing that would be a barrier to entry I think.

    Hey Mike,
I don't understand the value prop why should you be able to pay people, it looks like a calendar booking website to me - Therefore, how is it different?
    Keep it up!

As in my customers making money online?

Their customers will be able to book an appointment for something and pay for it using apple pay etc. all mobile friendly and with email notifications.

ahh okay THAT does make sense, why not provide a simple use case everybody can relate to? singing/yoga class? all the best!

          Good idea 💡 thanks!

Hey Mike, just curious, how is this different from Calendly?

    1. 1

I like calendly its not quite an out of the box product in my opinion, requires integrations with stripe logins etc.

Something you can spin up within minutes. Is the goal here with very little config and for things to go wrong.

I'm targeting a less techy audience

I think that's a valid benefit. Make the landing page stronger by helping visitors understand... "Unlike other calendar apps, Cashew requires no technical setup to start accepting online payments."

I'm sure you can come up with something better but that's the general idea.

I would think of other ways Cashew is faster or simpler than well known calendar apps (for example: Calendly, Acuity, vCita, etc.)

        Hope that's helpful!

 wow yes man so helpful, you're spot on. I need to put this here somewhere.

I was hesitant on putting this landing page in such a public place for feedback, you know what, Indie Hackers rocks!

          So good. Thanks!

I like the details and the header with the changing text. I get what you're selling pretty immediately. However, It's a bit rough design-wise (you probably know that since it's a work in progress). Considering the proliferation of no-code tools and templates that make it easy to create a nicely designed landing page, I'd consider using one of those. That being said I'm doing my own from scratch as well... But taking considerable time to make it look good. Maybe look into copying some templates.

      Thanks for your comments 🙏

Yeah copying elements of other templates is a priority this week. It’s going live on the weekend

Have a look at ThemeForest for some inspiration.

    Here are some early thoughts:

    • I feel the CTA is way too big on desktop (on mobile it looks great)
    • Feels like you have two value proposition. One in the middle and one in the bottom. I would choose to only have one.

Overall it's a nice and disruption-free design. Good job!

      Thanks 😊

      • I agree! The browser design needs work
      • value proposition? Are you referring to the scrolling text heading and the paragraph of text below?
      1. 1

Yes, by value prop I meant the list of things (Payment, Cash, Calendar ...etc) between the two call-to-actions (get early access)

        Good luck!
