I hate it so much when someone shares their product on IH, obviously put a lot of love and effort into it, and then asks for such vague/broad feedback that I don't know where to begin and end up just saying nothing...
A lot of the communication skills that help someone build a good company (copywriting, keeping things concise, focusing, asking for feedback, etc.) are also necessary for making good posts on IH!
I don't think those people are legit asking for feedback but rather use the format to simply get some traffic.
(which is understandable though; we all want more traffic)

FWIW I do think that a good % of these feedback requests are genuine, although definitely agree that some of them are marketing-dressed-up-as-feedback-requests ;)
I tended to fall into the trap of being complete on feedback. Instead, imagine you are a Chinese Kung-fu Master [1], and give one stern kick. Let them realize the rest.
[1]: Obviously I don't have an idea about Chinese Kung-fu Masters, but never mind.

Well, I hate it when someone writes clickbait titles on IH. But it seems that we all are on the same boat trying to get traffic or feedbacks! ;)
Do you mean me? If so, I'm confused because my post doesn't have a title at all...
Maybe it's how IH generate the title if you don't provide any. I use the homepage to show titles only and yours goes like this: "I hate it so much when someone shares their product on IH…"? My bad if this wasn't on purpose!

Yes - apparently if you don't provide a title then IH generates one for you from the start of your post.
Understand completely, asking for feedback on an idea or landing page is vague and hard to respond to.
I'm currently designing a web app that solves a lot of these problems.
Will end up allowing current founders to share their products, learn from others and teach aspiring founders all at the same time.
(Still thinking about features, so nothing to announce just yet)
