Celebrating my first sale on a site without payment integration 😳

I'm so baffled of what happened I don't know if this is the right group to share.
I'm in the process of building a webshop to sell matcha tea in Switzerland. I'm using a combination of SpreadSimple and Carrd. This is how it looks and works like right now: https://ceremonialmatcha.carrd.co/
You'll notice that the pieces are unfinished, and the checkout is just a form (not even a good one) with no payment integration.
I was just chatting in a Slack group about the half finished shop when I got asked to share the link. E voilà - I had my first online sale! And there's not even a payment integration!
I didn't want to integrate one too soon anyways as a hypothesis that Swiss people would order regardless (I love Switzerland, I love living in a country where people trust each other so much). But that was a very risky hypothesis. And now I have MY FIRST SALE!!!!!

Was that slack group any local entrepreneurial group?
PayPal has individual business accounts which might have lesser compliance(at-least in my country) which are very useful for MVP validation . But for in-site integration, Stripe's API & tools are far more intuitive but their individual business accounts are limited to domestic transactions only(which may not be an issue to you).

Oh yes PayPal I haven't thought of that! Although SpreadSimple is highlighting PayPal everywhere haha. I was so focused on Stripe!

It was a budget and MVP decision.
We wanted to first test our shop and see if we can make any sale with it before investing a lot of money. Shopify has figured it all out, and if we see that we can't scale with what we have we'll switch to Shopify. But until then we wanted to go low-cost and MVP approach to "build-measure-learn".
Carrd Pro is very cheap, and I have a lifetime deal for SpreadSimple. So that was a perfect combination to start with. And we still need to get some legal things done here before we can officially start selling which will cost us some amount. Therefore, we think it's best to start low-cost on the tech side at least.
