I kept losing momentum every time I stepped away from my desk.
Mid-thought, good flow — then life happens. Kid needs something, you're on the bus, you're not at your PC.
So I built Cepho. It syncs your Cursor/VS Code workspace to the cloud so you can keep coding from your phone.
AI that knows your actual files. Apply changes that push back to your desktop. No copy/paste, no remote desktop, no PC that needs to be on.

Would love honest feedback from all of you.
Forget the PH rank, the signal is in those 9 signups, so talk to all 9 this week because they raised their hand for a reason and will tell you the exact moment Cepho saved them. Your own origin story is the wedge: the bus, the kid, the 10-minute window of flow you lose when you leave the desk. Sell that moment, not 'code from your phone,' and a thin layer on Cursor is fine as long as you own a moment they will never prioritize.
Feels like the real bottleneck is not syncing code, it is context recovery when you come back after being away. Most mobile dev tools underestimate how much cognitive state is tied to the full desktop environment, not just files.
If the trust in remote edits ever slips even once, people will hesitate to let a phone touch production level code, so reliability perception becomes the real adoption gate here.
That's exactly the risk. Reliability isn't a feature, it's the foundation.
One bad sync that touches production code and trust is gone.
We keep apply changes opt-in for exactly that reason
Opt-in apply is the right call for the trust problem that's the half that protects against a bad edit landing in production.
The context recovery half is a separate challenge though: even with safe edits, the bigger friction might be the few minutes it takes someone to remember where they were which function they were mid-thought on, what they were about to try next, why they touched that file. If Cepho could surface a quick you were here, this was the plan snapshot when you open it on your phone, that might matter more for actually resuming flow than the sync itself.
Have you noticed users dropping off at that "re-orientation" moment, or has feedback mostly been about the sync/reliability side so far?
Built this because I needed it myself — painter by trade, self-taught developer. Cepho is my way of staying in the flow even when I'm not at my desk.
Beta APK is live at cephos webside if anyone wants to try it. Brutal honest feedback welcome
One thing I'd be curious about is whether the thing people miss most when they step away is actually access to the workspace.
Reading this, I found myself noticing that the problem is described as losing momentum, while the solution is described as maintaining access.
Those can end up being related without necessarily being the same thing.
That's the part I'd be most interested in learning from users.
That's a sharp distinction — and honestly, I don't fully know yet. My assumption is that for me, access was the momentum. The second I couldn't see my files, I mentally checked out.
But you might be right that for others it's different. Maybe it's context — knowing where you left off. Maybe it's just the feeling of still being 'in it.'
That's exactly what I'm hoping to learn from the first real users. What's your gut on it?
I'm not sure I'd trust my gut enough to pick between those yet.
What makes it interesting to me is that each explanation could probably produce similar user behavior while pointing toward very different product decisions.
I've got a few thoughts on that, but it's probably more than I'd try to unpack properly in a thread.
What's the best email to reach you on?
That sounds interesting, looking forward to it. Write to me here and I'll reply asap.
