Challenge: building and making some profit using iPad only?

HI all. After having my laptop broken last year, I decided it was time to replace it with an iPad.

I've been building and breaking things for a while, but always using laptop for coding purposes. Now, I'm aiming to take one step further and thinking of launching a new project, but this time, using iPad only and no-code tools. Why? Don't want to buy a new laptop at the moment . I'm also a big believer of starting with a spreadsheet like NomadList and many others, collecting data and then, go from there.

Some problems:

  • Some tools might not properly work on tablets?
  • I'm also running short of ideas, don't know what to launch.

Ps: I still have one working laptop just in case, but it's been used by my partner in her day job.

What do you think?

Back to update on the latest: been writing some articles how companies can benefit from pre-internet business Like, how old companies reached their first clients, distribution channel etc

This is the first part of my challenge, as I want to attract people interested in the articles and then can think of how to monetise.

Hello there! This is a very interesting challenge. What's your work stack for the iPad right now?

      1. 2

Nothing fancy, but I focused on Tools that I used to use (apart from Substack) and they are all quick to set up:

        Logo - Used Canva
        Posts - Google docs
Timelines - Google docs and slides
        Images - Imgur
        Newsletter - Substack

and ofc, most of the time, I'm researching on a normal web browser

@bentossell what’s your opinion? Would no-code tools work smoothly on iPad?

    Interesting,

I mainly use my laptop (MacBook pro) for development, it's more the ease, but have been doing some research in the iPad pro as an all in once replacement, it seems very plausible in these days.

From my perspective, it would include an ssh connection to a docker instance on a cloud and you would be good to go.

But so far it's been holding me back a little bit, think it just being so used to a laptop?
Let me know if you make the switch and how you are making it work.

Yep, I used to have ssh on my mobile for past projects, just in case. Had used it for some emergencies when the website was down.

Will let you know the progress. So far looking for a problem to solve without coding
