It is one of the most competitive niches in Spain, they monopolise all the Google Ads slots and it is really complex to open a niche in the sector. How would you approach a growht strategy for this ecommerce?
Hello! Actually, I'm dealing with a similar task right now :)
But to be precise, I'm helping my mom to bootstrap her business - she is crafting and selling sweet presents in Ukraine 🎁
I will describe to you our current path and how I'm helping my mom🙂
We are trying several approaches in advertising her business:
The old-school - we ordered two billboards in our city.
This ad already runs for three weeks in the center of our city and it gives zero results. We decided not to use it anymore, as it is useless in my mom's case.
This type of ad cost us $145.
Instagram ad. I launched it two days ago and set the target audience to women of 25-35 y.o. in the neighboring city (it's larger compared to our's one). It gave us two likes, zero subscriptions, and zero orders. I guess this type of ad is also useless in mom's case.
Continuous posting of mom's work to her Facebook page. It gave my mom two orders and I'm noticing that more people are engaged in posts as they get used to mom's work. I suppose 🙂
She broadcasts a photo of every completed present to her friends on Viber. Really, just to EVERYBODY. This ad channel also brings her two orders. So I guess, this one and the above channels are the best online channels in our case.
She has a grocery store in the village not far from our house and put several presents on the showcase. It gave her another 12 orders.
As my mom's practice shows the best customers are friends, people who knew her before, and people who can see presents in real life (grocery case). Also, the word of mouth brought here several orders as people who once bought are very happy with her work and recommend it to their friends.
Also, I thought my mom to underpromise and overdeliver. I guess that principle has some impact on word of mouth 😉
Hope this will help you somehow :)
P.S. My mom's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100017218087870 and that Instagram page that I'm trying to promote https://www.instagram.com/sweet.azores.shop
Sounds great and the gifts look great. It looks great and I wish you all the luck with your mum. I hope you can scale up and become something great.
Thank you :)
