Merry Christmas everyone! ๐
Last day of the challenge and I just want to thank you all for joining. We kept ourselves motivated and I personally wouldn't have made it without your help!
Thanks!
Just let me do the last roundup of all IndieHackers that joined this challenge.
Wonderful job! ๐๐๐
I wish you all a Merry Christmas!
Let's relax a bit today, take some rest and get ready to ship more and better products in the next decade!
Nice work on remoteplanet @jp_aulet!
Launched (Soft-Launch)
URL: https://hashr.io
Username: ih2020
Password: letmein
Let me know if you like it!
EDIT: Needs some additional work. Will have to revoke access to Hashr.io for now. Another 24-48 hours and Iโll regrant access. Better safe than sorry! Mea maxima culpa!
What's your target audience for this tool?
Mainly developers not wanting to deal with hashing and verification themselves. But can (and should) work for everybody and their hashing needs. Use cases are a gazillion out there. Want to hash and verify tweets? You can do it. Need to hash something in your customer Zapier workflow? Yep. Want to check if a hash is hashed with Hashr.io? Upcoming. Want to see when that Hash was generated at Hashr.io? Yup as well.
On top of that, I'm currently working on adding file checksum hashing (no storage though) and paid accounts to add your custom salts (and peppers) as well as additional added options for several hashing algorithms (iterations, memory, parallelism, multihash and multi-algorithm-hashes).

Oh. If no files need to be hosted, then I donโt see a problem. I would need to limit upload file size to the free api though...
Almost nothing got done yesterday. Who would have said?
What I have done yesterday
โ Scheduled launch on Beta List
Plan for December 25
๐ณ Fix the view for mobile
๐ณ Set up https
๐ณ Work on the feature to track resolution progress
In the end I had messed up the time for launch and schedule for 5 pm Pacific time. Rescheduled for today at 5pm CET and I hope it goes well!
This was a fun way to push an idea out! Thanks for the motivation. My execution wasn't pretty, but I did it. Now I can work on making it better.
Congrats everyone who was able to push something out ! We'd love to work with anyone interested in giving navigator (smart search and hotkey navigation for any site : https://navigator.bytebeacon.com ) a try. We're looking for early adopters and offering a free pilot now.
Thank @tropianhs for such a great initiative and rush!

Howโd you get the invoice? Doesnโt seem straightforward with stripe without doing a gazillion of backend magic

Thanks a bunch. So I cannot test the feature without real payments? Weird. Gotta take the plunge of trust here...
