We are building an insurtech startup and I’m having some trouble with obtaining an insurance carrier partnership, and what should be our product phase. Should we continue to wait for an insurance carrier or should be build out the insurance funnel. Our product is renters insurance that pays your rent. With Relo, your rent is secure and safe even in a crisis! Let us make you 100% eviction-proof. Every month, millions of tenants default on their rent payment for all sorts of reasons. Leaving renters homeless and owners unpaid rent. By leveraging data, AI, and behavioral economics, we have made insurance uber accessible, affordable, and socially responsible. http://www.joinrelo.io/
That's a pretty cool product but as a landlord I'm curious why the bill falls only on the tenant. An eviction is an expensive thing so you would think the landlord would foot some of the bill.
Rent default is not a typical insurance product, at the moment. But we are in the business of providing extraordinary customer experience, so we will consider the landlord approach. Has to sharing responsibility with the tenants. This maybe a product for you in the near future. Please feel free to contact me directly.
