Charge to get feedback?
As I'm building ExcelParser.com, I need to get feedback from potential "quality" customers. I'd like to know - what problems are they facing with Excel automation? And can ExcelParser help?
I'm considering offering membership to a Slack community to collect this feedback with a $10 fully-refundable deposit.
The idea for charging is to get serious feedback only, and not be derailed by non-serious requests.
Is this a silly idea?

It is not a silly idea of course. I am working with a User Experience agency in Istanbul. We are also paying to our test customers. This is super normal.
When I check your landing page. I observe that you need more communicating website. You should prioritize the user experience. No one can use your product without having a good user experience.

You're not wrong in saying the landing page is a bit bare. It totally is.
I'm slowly working on it day by day. Sometimes, I have to play around with the messaging over a few days (or weeks) before I land on something that sounds straightforward and clear.
Before I start styling and formatting, I want to be even clearer about the messaging first.

It's a very good idea!
You've got to be really careful about the feedback you get. Poor feedback can lead to a lot of wasted time developing features that no one wants.
