OpenAI just announced it's testing new memory features for ChatGPT, allowing the artificial intelligence tool to remember information from your conversations to prevent repetition and enhance future discussions. The feature will be available for both free and paid users, and they can edit the information they want saved, deleted, or turn off the feature entirely.
Waymo recalls and updates robotaxi software after two cars crashed into the same towed truck (3 minute read)
Waymo is voluntarily recalling the software that powers its robotaxi fleet after two vehicles crashed into the same towed pickup truck in Phoenix, Arizona, in December. It's the company's first recall. Waymo said it developed, tested, and validated a fix to the software that it started deploying to its fleet on December 20. All of its robotaxis received that software update by January 12.

Xbox Created a Floating Controller to Celebrate Dune: Part 2 (2 minute read)
Microsoft has created the "world's first floating Xbox controller" in celebration of Dune: Part 2, alongside a special Xbox Series S. Revealed on the Xbox Wire, the controller doesn't technically float itself but sits atop a stand that does. "A specially designed console holder inspired by the Ornithopter captures the vibrant colours of Arrakis's sun, planets, and sand," the post said.
