ChatGPT will soon be able to generate images with DALL-E 3

Looks like everything will soon be available via a chat interface.

• DALL-E 3: OpenAI has announced the third version of DALL-E. One of the big features is the ability to use it via ChatGPT; you'll tell ChatGPT what you want, and it'll come up with a suitable prompt for DALL-E.

• Github Coding Chatbot: Github has also made its coding chatbot available to individuals. With it, you can talk to an AI assistant to get help as you’re writing code.

What this means for us indie hackers: You've probably seen that many cover images on Indie Hackers (including for this post) are generated using Midjourney. You also probably use Midjourney if you're in the content/media business.

Midjourney has a higher barrier-to-entry than ChatGPT. It's confusing for a lot of people. And trying to pinpoint the right image ouput with a single prompt is more difficult than explaining what you want through a back-and-forth conversation with a chatbot. So image generation will become more accessible to more creators.

More importantly, it seems that a lot of tools are "migrating" to a chat interface. Will users come to expect every major SaaS tool to also be available via chat? If so, that means we'd need to do some revamping in our SaaS UIs.
