Cheaper customer feedback alternatives to Intercom

I want to be able to chat with my customers and ask for feedback similar to how intercom offers. Unfortunately, I have too many expenses already to justify $50+/month. I could possibly build the feature myself but I was wondering if you've used a cheaper, simpler alternative to intercom to get customer feedback?

I totallly understand your feeling - is the main reason for why I even created my new Help center service that I released yesterday.

For chat there is luckily many free options such as -

And lastly do not forgot to add some kind of knowledge base/help center to try to lower your customers queries and thereby make your support more effective by using for example. MY knowledge base service embedgear.cloud. In additon to beta users being grandfathered in to free plans and will get some more incentive, I would extremely appreciate it if you could check out my service! And lastly sorry for the self-marketing bit.

Wow! Incredible. Thank you so much @randomTest.

Don't feel bad about self marketing. You're helping me. I always think of Seth Godin's quote:

“Marketing is the generous act of helping others become who they seek to become. It involves creating honest stories—stories that resonate and spread.” - Seth Godin, This Is Marketing: You Can't Be Seen Until You Learn to See

I'm going to check out your product and post! Thank you again.
